In this series, I used the flame filter under render. I made several series of adjustments in that feature. I changed the colors of the flame and made layers to achieve the end results.

The Fortune Teller

I produced this image by cutting an image I had found online and making several adjustments including, but not limited to levels, brightness, and contrast. I also used the facet filter under stylize. The background is from a palm reading brush I had found on Brusheezy.com, choosing colors from within the image.

For this piece I made multiple layers of the chair sculpture, adjusting the opacity of the as I added the layers. I altered the base layer's curve to add the pinks, blues and greens.

     The artist I chose to pay tribute to is Jonathan Woodward. Jonathan is a UK based artist who's medium is both traditional and digital collage with a focus on wildlife. He has collaborated with zoos, children's authors, toy manufacturers, a children's television show, and various magazines. On his website, Jonathan offers free Wildlife Activity Kits which are printable templates and patterns that introduce people to the art of collage. He also has a "Pin Club" in which subscribers receive a monthly enamel pin attached to a collectible card backing that he designs.

     I was drawn to Jonathan's work because it is reminiscent of the style of The Hungry Caterpillar, the movie The Little Prince, and in some cases, applique quilting. There is a complex simplicity to this type of work that I find extremely appealing. My work is based on The Barn Owl.
